ENGLISH EXPRESSIONS

• Para enumerar varias cosas: first (primero), secondly (en segundo lugar), meanwhile (mientras tanto), afterwards (después), eventually (finalmente).
• Para escribir una causa: because of +sustantivo. (a causa de), due to+sust. (debido a).
• Para dar una opinión: to my mind (en mi opinión), in my view (en mi opinión), as far as I´m concerned (en lo que a mí respecta), it seems to me that (me parece que).
• Para añadir información: furthermore / moreover (además), also (también).
• Para contrastar información: but (pero), however/yet/ still/nevertheless (sin embargo), although (aunque), in contrast (por el contrario), on the one hand/ on the other hand ( por una parte, por otra…), whereas/ while (mientras), in spite of/ despite + sust. (a pesar de), perhaps.
• Para las semejanzas: similary/ in the same way/ likewise (de la misma forma).
• Para describir un resultado: therefore (por tanto), as a result/ as a cosequence (por consiguiente, como consecuencia), for this reason (por esta razón).
• Para describir una realidad: in fact/ as a matter of fact (de hecho), actually (en realidad).
• Para acabar: at the end (al final) in conclusion / on balance (en conclusión), to sum up.
